The tannery which was founded by H.Emre BERDİ in 1977 in Yeşildere, has been producing since 1992 with the capacity of 1.000.000 ovine leather per year at the factory that was built on 5000 square meters in Menemen Freezone Area. Berdi is specialized in producing leather for shoes, for garments and for gloves and bags. So that it has been continuing to produce for years.
According to the high demands in 2004 Berdi Leather created a new facility under the name of Ber-Kon and began to produce leather garment products with the capacity of 2000 per month. Berdi has proved itself in this field and will improve more and more with its hardworking and creative staff.
Because of the global crisis in 2011 which affected the leather industry in the world, Berdi had desire to find out new raw material in different zones. After searching Berdi Leather figured out that the leather which was made in Ethiopya can be used in many fields in sector and decided to set up a new fabric in Ethiopya called HABESHA TANNING. This firm was built on 40.000 square meters area which is available expand and producing raw leather to semi finish leather with the capacity of 5000 leathers per a day. The leather which become semi finish, make ready to send to Turkey for finish process.
Years of accumulated knowledge and experience, Berdi Leather which is specialized especially in Suede field, has been producing with perfect machines by using chemicals which doesn't contain any cancerogenic material. Besides with the difference of Ethiopya leather, Berdi Leather increases the quality in Suede field to the top grade.
Berdi Leather is producing with the ISO standarts and with more than 400 employee going on producing high quality leather for its customers with convenient prices. The main principle of Berdi is always to be creative and innovative with stability and high quality.
